Giant Pumpkin
And just for size… We just created a Giant Jack Pumpkin for Parker’s Alley in Detroit. He’s 6 feet in diameter and 6 feet tall (7′ 8″ including his stem) and on his box, he’s almost 10 feet tall! He’s made out of wood, foam, and hard coat.

What We Do on Date Night!
It’s not often that Daren and I work together. Isn’t that crazy?! We run a business together but most of the time we are in two different places working on different stages of the same project. As Daren says “It’s lots of high fives, quick kisses and passing off the
Upcycled Furniture Pieces
Upcycling is one of our favorite things! Here are a few more pieces we’ve collected and re-finished in the past! I hope you enjoy!
Sometimes, You Can’t Listen To The Experts!
Just like Daren, my first experience with “Dumpster Diving” was in collage…I was taking a Three Dimensional required course and our final project was to make a Three Dimensional piece of our choice. At the time I was into creating things with glass…An old boyfriend worked at a glass shop
Life Hack: Forget Your Pride and Dumpster Dive
It’s 9:00pm on Sunday night. Deanna and the kids are excited (especially our son Oliver) to hop in the van and take a drive around the neighborhood. Why? Because Monday morning is garbage day! Many of our neighbors have put out old doors, windows, furniture, paintings, prints, lamps, skis, all
What Our Teenage Daughter Has Taught Us
Our daughter does not give up! She has always been like this. As a baby, she learned to sign before she could talk so she could tell us that she wanted milk, more, cookie and shoes! She was so happy…until you told her no! Bella doesn’t accept no. As a
Pirate Ship Camper Drawings
With each project we work on, there seems to be a creative force that happens naturally, helping us create the project better than we imagined. We know there will be a few changes along the way and are excited to see how the project unfolds itself! With that in mind…
We are Starting the Pirate Ship Camper Finally!
I’m so excited…we are finally starting the Pirate Ship Camper! The floor is stripped and it’s completely torn down to the trailer!
How the Pirate Ship Camper Idea All Started
In the summer of 2014 we were looking for an old camper to turn into a mobile art studio. We were having fun teaching art to both kids and adults and thought that a mobile art studio would be great to take to art shows and events. We found our
Tired Of That Tattling Elf On A Shelf?
We used to make and sell kid’s boutique style clothes, wooden purses and dolls when our kids were little. While looking through some old pictures, I came across these photos of a Christmas “Doll” we made in 2014! We were so sick of the “Elf on the Shelf” during Christmas
I Want A Shed In The Shape Of A Giant Shoe
There once was a sweet woman who had so many children! Between work and the kids, she was always SO busy! Always bathing or feeding the children, cleaning the house, doing the dishes and the laundry….all she dreamt of was a space of her own. A place that was peaceful
What Do I Do to Get Started?
To get started on a project you need to take the bull by the horns, plunge in, seize the day, make the leap, go for it, just give us a call! The process may seem overwhelming or you may be worried you don’t know what you want or how to describe it…don’t
How Much Do I Need to Hire You?
You will need an abundance of excitement, oodles of creativity, a slice of humor, stockpile of personality, gobs of good sense, a ton of trust, a wedge of space…and half down of whatever budget you have in mind to actually start the project! To talk and brainstorm your ideas, it only
How Much Do You Charge?
We get asked this question quite often and honestly there is no easy answer! Each project is unique and the tools, materials and equipment will change with each project we create. A 13-foot dragon is priced differently than a indoor playhouse. Even our Dragons would be priced differently…Do you want
My Stone Obsession!
I have a problem…I am addicted to Stones. Yes, I said it! Rocks, stones, pebbles…I love them all and could spend countless hours, searching the beaches for them. My favorite spot to rock hunt is Lake Michigan. I’m amazed how beautiful the beaches are, the waves, the sand, the rocks! My addiction
Our Great Find…
Daren and I are always on the lookout for cool shops, junkyards and recycle centers that carry fun and unique items. We often use old, tossed away objects in our art and room designs. We really enjoy upcycling something old and turning it into something new…creating one of a kind type pieces. Last week we
